The Laris Insurance Agency is located at 810 Crescent Ave. in Lockport, LA. Its founder, Sidney Laris, was a provider of insurance to the residents of southeast Louisiana since 1939. He maintained a continuous presence at the agency until his passing away in 1998. His son, Rudy Sr., is the primary owner and chief executive officer. He is the senior sales agent and oversees the operations of the agency.

Laris Agency has 18 employees. There are five sales agents, which generate the agency's sales. Our agents are active in sales of all lines of insurance. Rudy Laris Jr. is Vice-President and oversees insurance company relations. Rudy Jr. holds a B.S. degree from Nicholls State University. Ross Laris holds the office of Treasurer. He oversees operations of the sales department. Rudy Sr.'s daughter, April, is the Secretary. She holds a B.A. degree from Loyola University. She works in the Accounting Dept., overseeing Accounts Payable

The commercial lines department is comprised of a friendly and professional staff of six. Julie Parks is Commercial Dept. senior account manager for existing accounts. Claude Richardel handles commercial new business accounts. Julie, Claude and the rest of the staff stress an emphasis on prompt, courteous and reliable service.

Our agency also has full service departments that provide Personal insurance and Life & Health insurance to satisfy all of our clients' needs. Becky Fayette is the senior Personal Lines account manager. Philip Hadaway is the senior sales agent regarding coverages of Life and Health insurance. Our Accounting / Computer department is managed by Mark Theriot, who has a B.S. Degree from Louisiana State University.

The agency's lines of business premium volume relationships are 80% Commercial, 10% Personal and 10% Life and Health. We have an exclusive membership in ARMS, which is an insurance association that provides our customers with access to many of the largest insurance companies in the world.
